As of December 1, «Dity Heroiv» (Children of Heroes) charitable foundation cares for 1,400 children of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers who died

Every day 10-20 children join the project. Valeriya Abdal, co-founder of the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation, told about this during a briefing at the  Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

The fund started its work in March. As the volunteer noted, they see it as a long-term project. Its purpose is to take care of children who have lost one of both parents as a result of russian agression. They plan to support children intil their adulthood.

“Our mission is to got through loss, to provide psychological support, and to be become representatives of the Ukrainian nation in the future. We provide psychological, legal, medical, humanitarian and material support. We also help children to evacuate and take care of those families who have already left,”  volunteer said.

Valeriyay Abdal added that the fund is supported by both international charitable organizations and Ukrainian business.

“We help children to develop – we organize language courses and trainings in IT-field, etc. 200 of our children have already visited camps abroad, and approximately the same number – in Ukraine,” the volunteer added.
