As in Lviv and Kyiv: Odesa needs to introduce a city compensation program for the purchase of electric generators
Less than 1% of Odesa condominiums have alternative sources of electricity, Stanislav Draganov, president of the Association for Innovative Development of Households, said during his briefing at the Media Center Ukraine-Odesa.
“Only 3-4 Odessa condominiums have generators as alternative sources of electricity. In Lviv and Kyiv, there are local authorities programs that compensate for a significant portion of condominium expenses for generators. It should be implemented in Odesa as well,” said Stanislav Draganov.
The absence of electricity in multi-apartment buildings, which are completely dependent on electricity supply, is especially dangerous.
“In our house, if there is no electricity, there will be no life. Because the elevators will stop, it will not be possible to cook food on electric stoves, water pumps will not be able to pump water. Therefore, I believe that the local government should consider these issues and help,” said Iryna Bardina, head of the board of the BALKIVSKA-20 condominium.
