About 90 hectares of land will be allocated for the National Military Memorial Cemetery construction – Oleksandr Porkhun

Choosing a site in close vicinity to the Bykivnia graves is the best and optimal in time option to start work on the National Military Memorial Cemetery establishment as soon as possible.

Oleksandr Porkhun, First Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine made the relevant statement. He noted that the land plot intended for the National Military Memorial Cemetery will be approximately 90 hectares.

“Creation of the National Military Memorial Cemetery envisages the placement of buildings and areas complexes. In particular, it includes a military cemetery, a museum complex, a ritual building, honorable burials of our heroes and other necessary facilities designed for the cemetery functioning,” explained Oleksandr Porkhun.

In addition, he announced the dates of first section for burials opening as is planned to.
