516,000 school-age children remain outside Ukraine; 95,000 are in temporarily occupied territories — Education Ministry

More than 100,000 schoolchildren have already returned to Ukraine from abroad, but approximately 516,000 still remain there. Andrii Vitrenko, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Outside Ukraine, there are approximately 516,000 school-age children in the EU countries and around the world. This number fluctuated around 620,000. We are happy that more than 100,000 children have already returned to Ukraine, to the Ukrainian national education system. There are currently approximately 95,000 students in the temporarily occupied territories,” — Vitrenko said.
