333,000 People Resided in the Kherson Territorial Community as of February 24; After De-Occupation, They Were 85–100 Thousand; Now Up to 120 People Leave Daily — Military Administration

Residents were actively returning to the city during the first weeks after de-occupation of Kherson city, but after the shelling started, the tendency for the people to leave increased. Halyna Luhova, Head of Kherson City Military Administration, told this during the briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“As of February 24, 333,000 people resided in the Kherson territorial community. During the first two weeks after de-occupation on November 11, the number of people began to increase. Despite that it was a complete Armageddon, there was no electricity, gas, heating, water, the sewer system did not operate, there were very terrible times — but people were returning. As of November 11–13, Kherson city numbered approximately 85–100 thousand people. And as soon as the first attacks began, the first people began to depart. The more attacks, the greater the tendency for people to leave. Today somewhere from 50 to 100–120 people leave daily,” Halyna Luhova said.
