Some 75,000-80,000 people cross border in both directions per day, there is no sharp increase of those seeking to exit Ukraine — State Border Guard Service

There has been no significant increase in passenger traffic leaving Ukraine, despite russian missile attacks. Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“The average daily crossing of the border ranges between 75,000 and 80,000 people in both directions, both for entry and exit. On weekends, it can reach 90,000 people. However, despite russia’s actions of massive missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine, we do not record a sharp increase in passenger traffic leaving Ukraine. There are also no queues of civilian vehicles to exit (the country). Actually, I would like to add that in November we observed an opposite situation, a general decrease in total passenger traffic by 9% compared to October. This continues the downward trend that we were observing during all autumn months: in October by 5%, in September by 10%,” — Demchenko said.
