Salaries debt in the occupied territories rose to over 7 million euro – human rights activists
Only the occupiers’ law enforcement agencies and occupation troops receive full salaries on a regular basis. This was stated by Vira Yastrebova, attorney, director of the NGO “Shidna Pravosazahisna Grupa” (Eastern Human Rights Group), at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.
“The total salary debts in the occupied territories of Ukraine are about 713 million rubles (7,1 million euro). This debt was created artificially to give money only to militanants of the occupiers. The occupiers are persuading doctors to be transferred to military units,” – Yastrebova said.
She added that the employees of the occupation administrations in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions are not being paid, in particular, the rank and file have not been paid for three months.
“Also, wages are not paid fully at coal mines and metallurgical plants in the occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions. In June 2023, the salary debts to miners from the occupation authorities amounted to 39.1 million rubles in the occupied Donetsk region alone. Also, medical workers in the occupied territories do not receive salaries,” – Yastrebova noted.
