Russia’s attack on Odesa destroyed 60 thousand tonnes of grain for China

The destroyed grain probably triggered China gaping an impetus to participate in Ukraine peace talks in Saudi Arabia. China is seeking possible pathways to peace in Ukraine and resolving the war with Russia. Yehor Cherniev, MP, Chairman at the Verkhovna Rada’s Permanent Delegation to the NATO PA, made this statement during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform. 

“The country’s representatives agreed with Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace plan, which was announced during the summit in Saudi Arabia. We can say that China’s notionally neutrality policy is changing to pro-Ukrainian. It is worth noting that Ukraine is open to proposals, and if countries have an alternative vision, such as demilitarizing the ZNPP zone, we are open to listening.”

However, so far, there have been no proposals. Yehor Chernev stated it at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform. The Chairman at the Verkhovna Rada’s Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly also said that during the next round of talks, Ukraine expects allies and partners to make practical steps.
