russia’s aggression against Ukraine is a historic challenge for everyone — Estonian Defense Ministry

Kusti Salm, Permanent Secretary of the Estonian Ministry of Defense made this statement at the Black Sea Security Conference. According to him, the russian war against Ukraine goes far beyond the borders of Ukraine itself and represents a historic challenge for all players in international relations. 

“We cannot tolerate anything that will lead to frozen conflicts or another war in the modern world,” he noted.

According to Kusti Salma, supporting Ukraine and ramping up national defenses are fundamental, and this is the basis of further support for Ukraine.

“Let’s win this war, that’s the historic challenge for us,” the Permanent Secretary of the Estonian Ministry of Defense urged the participants of the event.
