Russia destroyed 15% of Ukraine’s warehouse infrastructure – logistics  expert

The facilities in Kyiv region suffered the most. This was stated by Viktor Berestenko, President of the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

According to the expert, before the full-scale invasion, the total area of warehouse infrastructure was 2500 thousand square meters.

“Now about 382 thousand square meters of warehouse space have been completely or partially destroyed, which is 15% of the total pre-war area. Most of it is in Kyiv region. At the end of 2021, there were 1.6 million square kilometers of warehouse space in the region, now there are 1.3. More than 200 thousand square kilometers of warehouses have been completely destroyed,” – Berestenko said.

He added that the total amount of direct damage caused by the full-scale armed aggression to Ukrainian infrastructure, industrial facilities, and production logistics has increased to almost USD 50 billion.
