Regional administration may create IDP council in Odesa region
The government of Ukraine recommended each regional administration to create such. This was stated by Tetyana Dementieva, director of the department of social and family policy of the Odesa regional military administration, at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.
“It will be an advisory body under the Odesa regional military administration, we are working on creating this council. Now we plan to send information to IDPs in Odesa region about this initiative. They will work on the needs of IDPs – providing housing, humanitarian and financial assistance,” – the official said.
She added that 226,360 people have been registered in the unified database of internally displaced persons since 2014. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, almost 186,000 people have been registered as IDPs.
