 Police in Kyiv Oblast Prepares for the New Academic Year, Having Inspected 1127 Schools

To ensure children’s safety, commissions tasked with inspecting the schooling conditions were set up in 69 municipalities of Kyiv Oblast, consisting of representatives of state authorities, Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, and police specialists.

Andrii Nebytov, Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast, stated this at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Police officers have already inspected 1127 education institutions in Kyiv Oblast. CCTV systems are installed in 129 schools, security gates in only two, and panic alarm buttons in 463 institutions. However, we can see there is a lot to be done,” he said.

Andrii Nebytov emphasized that, according to the Oblast’s Education Department, 88 education institutions will work offline, 98 online, and 399 will provide a mixed schooling format.

The Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast added that police specialists would organize safety drills in schools to talk about mine safety and the personal safety of school students.
