PACE Resolution outcomes: additional IAEA mission to Zaporizhzhia NPP and increased efforts for releasing the prisoners of war

The PACE Resolution gave an additional stimulus to the IAEA. The International Agency is already planning an additional mission to Zaporizhzhia NPP.

Mariia Mezentseva, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada to PACE, made this statement in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Of course, we are also talking about energy challenges. The so-called ecocide is a danger related to nuclear threat. And the situation that has developed at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The IAEA has already responded and plans to carry out an additional mission to our nuclear power plant,” she said.

The People’s Deputy added that the international community proposes to increase cooperation with the Red Cross and establish additional missions to release Ukrainian prisoners of war.
