Over the past week, 9 civilians were killed in Kharkiv Oblast as a result of enemy shelling

On October 23 in Kharkiv Media Hub, another weekly briefing was held by the spokesman of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, Yevhen Vasylenko, who spoke about the operational situation in the Kharkiv region in the period from October 16 to 22.

Thus, according to Yevhen Vasylenko, over the past week, the employees of the Kharkiv Garrison State Emergency Service made 143 trips under the “Alert” signal, 4 of which were related to the hostilities taking place on the territory of the Kharkiv Region. In another 57 cases, rescuers went to road accidents, to help the population and to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling. 4 people were rescued from fires not related to shelling, and 39 were evacuated. 1 person died.

As a result of russian shelling of the territory of the Kharkiv region, three bodies of civilians were pulled out of the rubble, and two civilians were injured.

In the period from October 16 to 22, deminers of the State Emergency Service detected and neutralized almost 537 explosive objects.

During the past week, the representatives of the unified detachment of the State Emergency Service continued to inspect and, if necessary, demine the de-occupied and damaged is a result of the russian aggression territory of the Kharkiv region. Thus, since the beginning of the Great War, 35 pyrotechnic units and 76 units of special equipment inspected more than 3.85 thousand hectares of territory, almost 2.75 thousand km of power lines, discovered and neutralized almost 81 thousand ammunition and other dangerous objects.

According to the spokesman of the SESU of the Kharkiv region, during the specified period, 2 civilians were blown up by unknown objects: 1 person – a tractor driver, who was blown up by an enemy mine during work in a field near the village Pisky Radkivski, died; the other, stepping on an anti-personnel mine, suffered limb injuries.

In addition, Yevhen Vasylenko spoke in more detail about the liquidation of the missile attack on the Nova Poshta terminal in the village of Korotych, as a result of which 6 people died, and 17 more were injured. Thus, according to him, as a result of the enemy’s attack, the building was seriously destroyed, and an area of about 300 square meters was burned. The fire was quickly extinguished.
