Over past day, occupiers drop 14 aerial bombs on right bank of Kherson region – Natalia Humeniuk

The enemy intensified their attacks against coastal settlements on the right bank of Kherson region, in particular in Beryslav and Kherson districts. Mainly, during the past day of fighting, the occupiers dropped 14 guided aerial bombs with a payload of 500 kg of TNT equivalent. Such actions indicate that enemy troops are using scorched earth tactics.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“And this suggests that the enemy is using scorched earth tactics in an attempt to stop the Defense Forces. Without any understanding of where to expect progress, they are trying to destroy everything, in particular, by attacking civil, social, industrial infrastructure, everything that can be destroyed with such a powerful projectile. In particular, detached houses. Over 20 detached houses were destroyed yesterday during such airstrikes,” she said.

At the same time, Natalia Humeniuk reported that the intensification of enemy artillery shelling in Kherson region led to 7 people dead and 12 wounded over the previous day.

“This indicates that the terrorist component of the enemy (actions – Ed.) is intensifying with an emphasis on the civilian population. In order to create internal disorder and simulate the inability of the Defense Forces to protect the civilian population,” she explained.
