Over business competition with Ukrainian carriers – Andrii Demchenko spoke about the reasons for the protests and the demands of the Polish truckers 

Despite Polish truck drivers blocking Ukrainian carriers at three border crossings, Ukraine was not provided with official demands, the State Border Guard Service reported what lofty drivers protest against and what decisions they expect.

“According to the first information we received from our Polish colleagues, the strike action participants, which is taking place in Poland, blocking truck traffic over business competition with Ukrainian carriers. They put forward a number of demands: including the return of the practice of permits for Ukrainian carriers, the creation of separate queues for EU-registered cars, creation of a separate queue at all borders for empty trucks; and access to the Ukrainian “Shliakh” system, said Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform. 

At the same time, he emphasized that according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the participants of this action did not provide the Ukrainian side with all their demands.
