Over 700 Chaplains Will Serve in Ukraine’s Armed Forces: Defense Ministry Reforms the Chaplain Service to NATO Standards
The Ministry of Defense develops the area of meeting military personnel’s religious needs, taking into account the NATO approaches.
Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defense, stated this at her briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“There are many priests on the front line who help our defenders. Their contribution to the victory is extremely important. The Ministry of Defense developed a draft policy on the Military Chaplains Corps. The regulatory framework is being developed. On a preliminary basis, there can be about 700 chaplain positions with Ukraine’s Armed Forces in the Chaplains Corps,” she explained.
