Over 3,000 Ukrainian marines missing or held captive, Ukraine’s CHTPW representative reports

More than 3,000 Ukrainian marines are currently unaccounted for or believed to be in enemy captivity. 

Bohdan Okhrimenko, a representative of Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War (CHTPW) in Ukraine provided the update, speaking at a press conference at the Media Center Ukraine. 

“We must acknowledge that the number of marines still classified as missing—whether recognized as captured by the International Committee of the Red Cross or through other sources—exceeds 3,000 individuals,” he stated.
