Over 1,100 trucks registered via eChera electronic border crossing system on its first day of operation — State Border Guard Service

On December 12, eCherga electronic border crossing service started working. Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine commented on the first day of work of the system during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Yesterday, at 12 o’clock at the Jagodzin-Dorohusk checkpoint, the passage of trucks through the eCherga system began. This happens exclusively in the direction of departure from Ukraine. Currently, only cargo vehicles are registered at Jagodzin checkpoint on the border with Poland, so this applies only to trucks. As reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure, as of yesterday, more than 1,100 trucks were registered in the system. Application for the queue was opened a day before, so that carriers from all over the country were on equal terms and everyone could submit information in advance and get to the border,” — Demchenko said.
