Odesa oblast is the second in Ukraine for numbers of orphans and children deprived of parental care

4,972 such underages live in this region. Nataliya Utyupina, head of the children’s service of the Odesa military administration, told about this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine-Odesa.

“There are 3,602 orphans and children deprived of parental care under their care. 3,599 of them live in guardian families, 3 – in social institutions. 493 children were placed in foster care, 606 were removed from the registry,” the official said.

90 children have been adopted in the region during 2022 year. Another 1,192 children are registered for adoption.
