Occupiers holding 208 people hostage in Zaporizhia region
Oleksandr Starukh, Head of Zaporizhia Oblast Military Administration made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“There were 540 people held hostage by the occupiers in the Zaporizhia region. 208 of them are still detained by the russians,” — he said.
Starukh added that the russian military constantly detains civilians, some for ransom, some for blackmail. The mayor of Dniprorudne is still in the hands of the enemy.
In addition, the russians are blocking exit points and prohibiting citizens from leaving the occupied territories. Currently, more than a thousand people are waiting for the opportunity to leave.
