Occupation “court” in Crimea considers more than 700 illegal cases against Crimeans for pro-Ukrainian position, – Tamila Tasheva

In the occupied Crimea, Russia is increasing pressure on people for their pro-Ukrainian position.

This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea during the opening of the Second Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimea Platform.

“Ukrainian citizens in Crimea are being persecuted for the so-called “discrediting of the Russian armed forces”. In March 2024, 737 illegal cases were already known to be pending in Russian courts. In addition, the occupiers imprison people even for listening to or performing Ukrainian songs, forcing them to publicly apologize for it,” Tamila Tasheva said.

She added that currently there is no access to the occupied Crimean peninsula, so all data is based on the figures published by the Russian occupiers themselves.
