Occupants received an order to fight espionage spies: 15 spies at least should be arrested every month in each region – human rights advocate
Cases of detention of people who do not have russian passports have also become more frequent. This was stated by Vira Yastrebova, lawyer, director of the NGO “Shidna Pravosazahisna Grupa” (Eastern Human Rights Group), at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.
“Every month, the occupants have to find 15 spies in the occupied territories of each region. Accordingly, in order to fulfil this plan, searches, and detentions of local residents are again taking place. We know for sure about eight cases of detention of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region over the past two weeks,” Yastrebova noted.
According to the human rights activist, there have also been detentions in other occupied territories, but we are still working on identifying these people.
She also added that over the past two weeks, cases of detention of local residents at internal checkpoints who do not have a russian passport have become more frequent.
