New Iranian Shahed-238 drone may be less visible on radars – Yurii Ihnat

The Iranian Shahed-238 drone, which Iran unveiled yesterday, will have higher speeds, and there is a possibility that it will be less visible on radars due to the composite materials that may be used to manufacture it.

Yurii Ihnat, Spokesperson of the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Unfortunately, Iran creates a lot of UAVs. And Iran will obviously continue to cooperate with the occupying state. As for this drone, which is presented by the manufacturer, we have information only from the Iranian side. We now only have the information that it has a jet engine, that it uses different targeting principles: radar, optical, etc.,” he noted.

According to Yurii Ihnat, the drone is black, which can make it difficult to work against such UAVs at night.

“But, I think, we will find a way out of such difficult challenges, which actually await us, our Defense Forces, every day,” he added.
