We make every effort to help Ukrainian museums — Deputy Director General of National Research and Restoration Center of Ukraine

“Since the beginning of the war in 2022, our Restoration Center has made 1,121 business trips. This year we have already made 156 trips. We have traveled 50,000 kilometers, we have worked in 270 museums of Ukraine. We have examined how well over 12,000 museum pieces are preserved. Restoration of a huge part of museum pieces damaged due to the war took place directly in museums. Our art restorers and scientists worked for weeks in museums of Ukraine. We transported the most heavily damaged museum pieces to Kyiv and Lviv in order to carry out an extremely complex restoration,” — Tetiana Bychko, Deputy Director General for Scientific and Restoration Work of the National Research and Restoration Center of Ukraine, said.

At the same time, she pointed out that “all this work is possible due to ALIPH Foundation, the Smithsonian Institution and international company UBER.”

In addition, Tetiana Bychko said that the Folkowisko Foundation provided high value equipment required to take measures to preserve cultural heritage.
