Minister Reznikov names 5 steps required for Ukraine’s security

Oleksii Reznikov, Ukrainian Minister of Defense, said that only 5 steps need to be taken to achieve the victory of Ukraine and the security of the regions.He made this statement during the Black Sea Security Conference.”First, we need to change the paradigm — we should not be afraid to use force and strong sanctions. The aggressor should recognize that he will not manage to obtain the result but will suffer colossal damages. Second, we need a system of guarantees that would make aggression from russia impossible. At present, there are no alternatives to the NATO format. Third, without the liberation of Crimea, any talk about regional security is nothing more than an illusion,” he said.The Minister of Defense of Ukraine said that the fourth step is the understanding that security in the region is impossible without russia’s transformation. The aggressor must receive a clear signal — if there are no changes and attempts to adapt to the demands of the democratic world, there will be no trust.”And the last thing, Ukraine wants to turn the tide on the battlefield this year. In order to do so, we need help, and we need it as soon as possible”, the Minister of Defense noted.
