Less than 1% of respiratory infections in Ukraine are COVID-19 cases – Public Health Center

Since the beginning of the epidemic season, about 18,000 people in Ukraine have been diagnosed with COVID-19. This represents less than 1% of all cases of influenza and acute respiratory infection (ARI) in the country.

This was reported by Oleksii Danylenko, deputy director general of the Public Health Center at the Ministry of Health, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Since the beginning of the epidemic season, less than 18,000 people have contracted COVID. If we talk about the proportion of COVID-19 cases relative to the total number of influenza and ARI cases, that figure is less than 1%,” he noted.
