Issue of water supply in Marhanets and Nikopol to be resolved by end of October – Mykola Lukashuk
A subvention of about UAH 160 million has been allocated from the state budget, with which the regional military administration carries out the necessary work to provide the residents of Dnipropetrovsk region with water.
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Before the war, 280,000 people lived in our Nikopol district, and even today, there are approximately 40,000 internally displaced persons there, despite the shelling. Taking this into account, after the terrorist attack that the russians carried out on the Kakhovka dam, water actually disappeared not only in Marhanets and Nikopol, in fact it also disappeared in all communities of Pokrov. And in addition to everything, it also disappeared in Kryvyi Rih district, where 900,000 people in fact live. Therefore, the recovery service is working, and a water facility is being built. And we understand that around the end of October, the issue of water supply will be resolved in Marhanets and Nikopol,” Mykola Lukashuk explained.
