Invaders will soon announce a campaign for the presidential election in the occupied territories – Human rights activists
The main goal of the Kremlin’s political technologists will be to increase the turnout. This was stated by Vira Yastrebova, attorney, director of the NGO “Shidna Pravosazahisna Grupa” (Eastern Human Rights Group), at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.
“The Kremlin authorities were not satisfied with the results of the local elections… The campaign will be based on putin’s so-called “victories and achievements” and he will be given the image of a “reproducer of the empire” that will be actively spread through propaganda media,” – the human rights activist said.
She said that the occupation authorities held the pseudo-elections by force, forcing citizens to participate in them. Representatives of the so-called election commission made rounds in homes and public places together with the occupation police and the russian military.
“Citizens who refused to participate in the fake-voting were detained and taken to the occupation police station. The detentions were carried out in public and used as a tool of pressure on other local residents,” – the human rights activist noted.
She also said that collaborators were appointed as heads of the occupation administrations, and Russian citizens were appointed as heads of the occupation law enforcement and judicial structures.
