In Kharkiv Region, More Than 18,000 Facilities Were Destroyed, Including 4,000 Residential High-Rise Buildings and More Than 4,000 Private Households — Oblast Military Administration

Now the Kharkiv region’s destruction is one of the largest in Ukraine. Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, spoke about the restoration plans during the briefing in the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“More than 18,000 facilities (were destroyed), of which more than 8,000 belong to housing stock. 4,000 are high-rise buildings and about 4,000+ are private households. Before the beginning of this year, we have focused on restoration of critical infrastructure to ensure electricity, water and heat supply restoration in winter. At the same time, several projects were implemented to restore housing — these are high-rise buildings in Izium city, for example — so that people can return and use their housing. Some of these projects were implemented thanks to international donors and humanitarian missions. A number of projects are currently being implemented through the United24 Presidential program. And we have already planned to restore about 105 schools in the region: this is despite the fact that it will be about 150 schools across the state. This year we plan to focus on restoration of the housing stock,” Oleh Syniehubov said.
