In 2024, web accessibility of government websites improved – Monitoring results

The number of government websites with a high level of web accessibility has increased in 2024, while the number of websites with low accessibility has decreased.

This was announced during a presentation at the Media Center Ukraine by Dmytro Popov, Digital Accessibility Specialist at UNDP Ukraine, author of the monitoring study and certified expert by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). 

According to the 2024 analysis, 7 out of 100 websites have a high level of accessibility. The level of web accessibility is sufficient for 17 sites and 55 sites have an average level. 

21 sites have a low level of web accessibility, six fewer than in 2023.

“We see a positive trend. The number of sites with high accessibility is increasing, while the number of sites with low accessibility is decreasing,” emphasized Dmytro Popov.

Websites with high accessibility include: Diia.Barrier-free; Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration site; Lviv Oblast State Administration site; National Bank of Ukraine site; Diia.Education; Electronic Court System; Kharkiv Oblast State Administration site.
