“I want to publish the book about the transformation of people’s relations through the war”, – Ukrainian writer Irena Karpa

She already has prepared some drafts on this topic, Irena Karpa said during a briefing at the Ukraine-Odesa Media Center.

“I have some drafts, the book is going to be about the fate of people who are divided by war. Someone is at the frontline, someone helps military, someone went abroad… I am interested in the transformation of human relations through war. For example, one person is at the frontline or under bombing, the other went abroad. And the one who stayed blames the one who left. But it’s not easy for the woman who left either. Because to keep herself and her child afloat she has to work as a janitor despite two university diplomas”, –  said Irena Karpa during a briefing at the Ukraine-Odesa Media Center.

She thinks, such texts can help people in the alike situations to understand that they are not alone in their feelings, that the change in behavior and attitudes because ofthe war affected many Ukrainians.

“But I’m a writer without fantasy, I need real stories. So I will wait for them,” added Irena Karpa.
