Heavy land mind contamination complicates restoring electricity supply to de-occupied territories — Syniehubov

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, gave an update on the restoration of electricity supply in the de-occupied areas of Kharkiv region during his briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“First of all, we are currently restoring electricity supply in the de-occupied territories. We have already connected 170,000 consumers (to the grid). And every day we connect 200-300 consumers in different settlements. Currently, this issue is complicated by Heavy land mind contamination specifically in these areas. And we are currently coordinating with the State Emergency Service in order to begin large-scale demining effort to supply (power) to the rest of the people who have remained without electricity since the de-occupation of our territories,” — Oleh Syniehubov said.
