Gas production in Ukraine exceeds by 1.5% production over the same period last year – CEO of NJC Naftogaz

Yuriy Vitrenko, CEO of NJC Naftogaz of Ukraine, during his briefing in Ukraine Media Center informed that since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, production of gas in Ukraine had decreased, but it still exceeded by 1.5% the production over the same period in 2021. Naftogaz specialists continue to drill wells in the safe areas.

At the same time, the country’s gas stocks are sufficient to meet the needs of the consumers. There are almost 9.5bn m3 of gas in the underground storage facilities. The destruction of infrastructure caused by the russian shellings is the only issue affecting gas supply to Ukrainians.
