Further Sanctions Pressure on Iran May Stop the Flow of Weapons to russia — Fedir Venislavskyi, People’s Deputy of Ukraine

Further sanction pressure on Iran may stop the flow of weapons to russia. Fedir Venislavskyi, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Representative of the President to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this report during the briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform. According to him, Ukraine will coordinate its efforts in this area with Western partners.

“The mechanisms of pressure are always available. Even after russia’s terrorist attacks using Iranian weapons occur, Ukraine still have trade contacts with Iran, and a significant part of Iranian citizens stay on the territory of Ukraine. These are all areas where sanctions pressure can be increased. We can impose a certain embargo on trade, in particular, on those products, those export and import ties that are essential for Iran, and ensure their budget replenishment,” Fedir Venislavskyi stated.
