France and Germany will increase their support: this is the result of negotiations between the presidents and the fact that Ukraine is on the way to victory — Merezhko

Even those European partners previously doubted now believe in Ukraine and its victory over Russia. These are the results of Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s visit to Europe. The president’s meetings were analyzed by Oleksandr Merezhko, Head of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation of Ukraine, during a briefing at Ukraine —Ukrinform Media Center.

“The most important thing was that the leaders of these countries finally came out in support of Ukraine without any reservations — they officially declare the urgency for full support for Ukraine and a full victory for Ukraine over Russia,” Merezhko said.

According to Merezhko’s statement, France and Germany’s assistance for Ukraine will continue to increase. 

“I noticed that French President Macron has changed: his rhetoric has become more consistent and more decisive. It appears to be the result of direct communication between the presidents. In my opinion, the main reason is our victorious actions., Russia has already lost at the strategic level. Everyone believes that Russia failed to defeat Ukraine, and Ukraine appears increasingly as the winner. This was the main factor that Macron’s position changed. Put differently: even those of our partners who once had doubts believed in us. I think that support from both France and Germany will only multiply,” Merezhko said.
