Enterprises That Consume More Than 1 MW of Electricity Switch to Night Operation — Head of Rivne Oblast Military Administration
In the Rivne region, enterprises that consume more than 1 MW of electricity shift to night operation. Vitaliy Koval, Head of Rivne Oblast Military Administration, made this report during the briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“The day before yesterday, we had already tried this experiment. Some enterprises worked the night shift well. At night, power is supplied throughout the region, however as far as at peak load hours, starting from 7:00 AM, problems begin to occur,” Vitaliy Koval added.
In addition, due to the enemy’s recent massive missile strikes, emergency shutdowns may occur in the Rivne region, or rotating power cuts may apply.
“Up to 30% of our consumers may be disconnected for a short time when grids are overloaded, but generally everyone has access to electricity, physically. We disconnect them just against the clock, because the system is unstable,” Vitaliy Koval added.
Moreover, Head of the Rivne Oblast Military Administration said that the region now strengthens the defense capability of energy facilities.
