“Ending the war with Ukraine’s victory is top priority, but the war cannot end until there is a picture of the post-war world,” Valerii Pekar
If Ukraine’s victory comes even one day earlier it will save many lives, but to end the war, we need a clear picture of what the world will be like after it. Valerii Pekar, Co-founder of “Nova Kraina” (“The New Country”) Civic Platform, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Until there is a picture of the post-war world, the war cannot end. It affects the current financial, military and diplomatic aid to Ukraine, it affects plans to accumulate money for the recovery of Ukraine, it affects justice, reparations, etc. This is a very negative thing. Every day of the war is paid for by the blood of Ukrainian fighters. To end the war at least one day earlier with our victory — we obviously do not recognize other options for ending the war — is to preserve many lives. Ending the war with our victory a month earlier, two months earlier, means saving a lot of lives,” — Pekar said.
