Electricity Supply Quality Will Improve Noticeably in April; No Drastic Changes Can Occur in a Week or Two — Energy Industry Research Center

In April 2023, Ukraine will receive the equipment required for restoration of electricity supply: the power supply quality will improve noticeably. Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director at the Energy Industry Research Center, made this statement during the briefing in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“In the nearest perspective, when we talk about a week or two, it is not possible to drastically improve power supply in the Kyiv and Kherson regions. It takes time for the necessary equipment to be delivered first. The process is underway: it is a huge amount of work on collecting and bringing, a lot of logistics problems, a lot of approvals are needed, and huge items need to be physically moved. Unfortunately, it is not possible to speed it up many times with a wave of a magic wand. People are already going all out. My forecast is that April will be the month when everyone will feel a noticeable improvement of the quality of electricity supply. In April, the first waves of heavy equipment required to restore the supply will begin,” Oleksandr Kharchenko said.
