China not taking any practical steps to follow through with its own narratives — expert

russia’s actions contradict China’s narratives. russia’s war in Ukraine brought Beijing a number of economic and energy disadvantages. Still, China is trying to demonstrate neutrality. However, during the talks at the UN, China once again voiced the main goals of its policy —  they are a peaceful power supporting only peaceful negotiations. But Ukraine would like to see actions from China that would promote negotiations, not just statements.

Nataliya Butyrska, Expert on East Asia, Master of International Relations made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Beijing says it is in favor of food security, but we have not seen China among the practical implementers of grain corridors. Similarly, we saw no steps from the country’s government when it came to the safety of the Zaporizhia NPP. Moreover, China voted against the IAEA’s decision to have russia withdraw troops from the station. All because official Beijing is in confrontation with the USA,” — she said.
