The reasons are different: to force locals to cooperate with the occupiers, to obtain lists of people disloyal to the russian federation, to collect important information, etc. In general, according to ZMINA Human Rights Center, since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion the russians have abducted about 600 Ukrainian activists, including almost 130 representatives of the authorities.
