Andriy Yusov on Synytsia special operation: This is just the beginning, there is more to come!
The special operation codenamed Synytsia (Tit) of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine caused a stir in Ukraine, the aggressor state, and abroad. The high profile of this story is understandable. After all, this is really an extremely important, extremely complex operation, and it is of fundamental importance for the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine. It will also have long-term consequences for the aggressor state, for its moral and psychological state, as well as for its security and defense sector itself. As this operation allowed obtaining extremely important information about the enemy’s aircraft and many other details that will greatly help protect the sky and destroy the enemy.
Andriy Yusov, representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, made this statement during a press conference on the details of the Synytsia special operation to hijack a russian helicopter.
“Maxim Kuzminov, captain, pilot of the Mi-8 helicopter, his decision is ideological, principled, political. The decision of a person who condemns russia’s genocidal war against Ukraine, condemns the actions of putin’s regime, and of course, all this required extremely hard work, verification, and support. It is very important that the pilot himself made contact with the Ukrainian side with his initiative. And following the long-term implementation of a set of measures, this operation took place, and it was successful,” said the representative of the Defense Intelligence.
According to Andrii Yusov, a new page is being turned when people make conscious decisions and stand on the side of good. This, he emphasized, is only the beginning.
“The main thing is that we get results. We captured downed pilots, many russian pilots were eliminated. But at the moment, a new page is being turned – these are people who make a principled ideological decision, those who condemn the russian war against Ukraine, who, together with equipment – currently we are talking about expensive equipment, about the Mi-8 helicopter – make a conscious decision and stand on the side of good. And this is just the beginning, there is more to come!” Andriy Yusov summed up.
As reported, as the result of the special operation Synytsia to hijack and capture a new russian helicopter, on August 9, 2023, russian pilot Maxim Kuzminov handed over the Mi-8AMTSh helicopter to Ukraine.
