All OPZZh MPs became nonpartisan — Oleksandr Korniyenko

First Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniyenko said during a briefing at Ukraine Media Center that all MPs of the Opposition Platform – For Life (OPZZh) faction had become nonpartisan.

Mr. Korniyenko added that a bill on OPZZh MPs’ work in local councils was currently being worked on. 

«We have about 40 councils of different levels, from regional to rural, village, and urban communities, where now the disqualification of these deputies will take away the quorum, and thus will take away the opportunity to make important decisions», – Korniyenko explains.

The First Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed hope that it would be possible to pass a law regulating the process of banning OPZZh next week.
