54% of Companies Expect Losses at the End of the Year, But More Than 40% Expect Growth — Executive Director of the European Business Association

According to the survey of the European Business Association members, the vast majority of companies expect losses by the end of the year, but more than 40% expect growth. Anna Derevyanko, Executive Director of the European Business Association, made this report during the briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“A couple of weeks ago, we conducted a quiz among our members and asked them what financial results they expect by the end of the year. If my memory serves me well, the overwhelming majority, 54%, said that they would expect losses. But 40+ percent expect growth. Therefore, the situation is ambiguous. It depends on the sector of the company operation: while building construction has fallen by 70–80%, IT continues to grow, somewhere by 25-30%. The situation is very different from company to company, from sector to sector, and, moreover, from region to region. One thing is clear: everyone in business is now aiming to play in the long run,” Anna Derevyanko explained.
