350 Billion Losses Caused by the War Is an Understated Calculation; If You Do Not Help Ukraine Now, the Partners’ Expenses Will Be Much Heavier — Maria Mezentseva

If you do not help Ukraine as soon as possible, its partners’ expenses will be much heavier: this thesis was repeatedly expressed by speakers at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Maria Mezentseva, Member of the Verkhovna Rada, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, made this statement during the briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“I liked one thesis that was repeated by many financial and economic sector speakers, who calculate the losses. We know that 350 billion in losses is a calculation which is slightly undervalued versus that of the World Bank. The figure from Ukraine is much higher. But the interesting final thought of the Forum was that if they do not help Ukraine now in the supply of essential military equipment, in the economic field, if they do not support further sanctions, launch compensation mechanisms and create a special tribunal with respect to the crime of aggression — if our partners postpone such decisive steps and such assistance, all expenses will be much more considerable,” Maria Mezentseva said.
