20 settlements remain flooded in Mykolaiv oblast – Oleksandr Khorunzhyy
As a result of the occupiers’ blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP, 20 settlements in Mykolaiv region are currently flooded. These include, in particular, 102 houses, 201 households and 216 home plots.
Oleksandr Khorunzhyy, Press Officer of the State Emergency Service, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“About 1,000 people, including 167 children, were evacuated from flooded areas in Mykolaiv region. Psychological assistance was provided to 15 persons. 18 tonnes of drinking water and 38 tonnes of food were delivered, in particular, to the settlements of Afanasiivka and Vasylivka. In addition, assistance was provided by delivering food to residential buildings,” the Press Officer said.
According to Oleksandr Khorunzhyy, 40 people and more than 10 pieces of equipment are currently involved in the works along the Inhulets River in Mykolaiv region. Since the beginning of the works, more than 100 people and about 50 pieces of equipment have been involved in Mykolaiv region, the Press Officer of the State Emergency Service said.
