15 trainers, internally displaced persons, have found job in Odesa region since the beginning of the full-scale aggression

These are specialists from Mykolaiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Sumy and Vinnytsia regions. Valentyna Kolchak, head of the department of physical culture and sports of the Odesa regional military administration, told this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa. 

More than 700 internally displaced persons enrolled in more than 20 sports at children’s and youth sports schools.

“Sports and public organizations of the region are involved in the work with IDPs. The Department, together with the Odesa regional organization of the Dynamo sports society, organized free swimming and basketball training for IDP children and children of military personnel. In March, the city chess federation organized an online chess tournament, “Move to Victory”. The goal of the tournament was to unite chess fans who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. More than 500 people took part in the tournament.” – the official said.
