The 3rd International Forum of the Expert Network of the International Crimea Platform has ended in Kyiv

Over the course of two days, more than 120 experts, government officials and media representatives developed recommendations for further actions of the Network’s experts and cooperation between government authorities and the expert community to liberate Crimea and establish sustainable peace and ensure compliance with international law. 

Since 2021, the Crimea Platform has existed in three dimensions: governmental, parliamentary and expert. This broad scope of activities allows us to effectively cooperate with Ukrainian and foreign politicians and experts to protect the rights of those affected by Russia’s actions. 

In addition, the experts identified the current problems in the inclusion of indigenous peoples in the peacebuilding process and how they can be solved.

At the same time, the experts of the Crimea Platform agree on one thing: Crimea should remain on the agenda of the international community in all issues and areas – media presence, protection of the rights of indigenous peoples, future de-occupation and reintegration, and the peninsula needs to develop a separate model of economic recovery as a territory that may require additional security solutions for a long time.
