One of our priorities is to invest in border infrastructure in order to ensure exports and provide Ukraine with income – State Secretary of Romanian Foreign Ministry

Romania has stood by Ukraine since the first day of the war and continues to provide political assistance to the country in all directions.

Ana Cristina Tinca, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, made this statement at the Second Black Sea Security Conference.

“Romania and the Romanian people have stood by Ukraine since the first day of the war. We continue to provide both political support and concrete assistance in all areas. As a neighboring country, one of our main priorities is to invest in cross-border infrastructure, which is extremely important for facilitating Ukrainian exports and providing the Ukrainian economy with an essential source of income. Since the beginning of the war, more than 36 million tons of Ukrainian grain have passed through Romanian territory. If we count other agricultural products, of course, the figure is bigger,” she said.

Ana Cristina Tinca pointed out the need to help Ukraine in its EU and NATO aspirations, and Romania is taking an active part in ensuring that the EU and NATO continue to help and support Ukraine.
