Within less than 24 hours, rescuers and electricians restore power to over 1,000 settlements affected by russian missile strikes — State Emergency Service

On October 10, the russian aggressor fired at critical infrastructure in 13 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv. As a result of shelling, 51 fires broke out. Currently, all of them have been eliminated and electricians are working to restore the power supply.

Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, Press Officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“If as of yesterday more than 1,300 settlements in Ukraine were cut off, now there are about 180 left. Power industry workers, rescue workers and utility workers did a tremendous job. More than 1,000 specialists of the State Emergency Service and more than 120 units of special and rescue equipment worked at the sites of the attacks,” — he said.

Currently, the State Emergency Service continues to provide electricity to hospitals and other critical infrastructure facilities.

“25 generators with various capacities belonging to the State Emergency Service are working to ensure that people in hospitals receive all the necessary care, which depends on energy supply. In addition, the psychologists of the State Emergency Service continue to work with the victims,” ​​— the Press Officer of the State Emergency Service said.
